I am a forth year nursing student taking global health and believe that nursing should be a global profession because they are in the best position to advocate and provide care for people all over the world. Nurses can help eliminate health inequalities and ensure that all people have access to the care they require. After all, health is a human right, and everyone should be able to use the system. Global nursing does not mean that all nurses should have to work abroad, but global nursing also means working within a local population or community, to bring forward healthcare and education. By acting locally, and bringing awareness of health disparities in communities around us, we can actually begin to make a difference in other countries around the world.
